Why companies certify

Who needs ISO 14001— and when

ISO 14001 turns environmental obligations into a managed system: aspects and impacts are identified, legal requirements tracked, and improvement targets set. Companies typically see lower energy, water and waste costs within the first cycle — and a stronger position with buyers who report on their supply chain.

Required most often by industrial groups screening suppliers, by EU buyers and by public tenders with environmental criteria.

Questions companiesask before certifying

Did not find yours? Call us — a coordinator answers within the same business day.

+38 (044) 332-30-76
Do we need an environmental permit first?+
Certification does not replace permits. The audit checks that the permits you need are in place and that you monitor compliance with them.
Can it be combined with ISO 9001?+
Yes — both follow the same High Level Structure. Most clients run one integrated audit, saving 20–30% of audit days.
Is ISO 14001 relevant for an office company?+
It can be, if customers ask for it, but the benefit is largest where energy, waste and emissions are material to operations.
